Looking for SQ red silkies

I'm looking for some show quality red silkies to hatch. Does anyone own any, or does anyone know where i might acquire some?

Thank you! I was looking at those, I just didn't know how good they are, or if anyone on here has ordered from them. I also saw that purely poltry has some. Does anyone have any experience with them?

Hatchery birds are usually not the best. If you want show quality definitely buy from a breeder! Hackle Haven looks to have some really nice silkies.

Hatchery birds are not "bad" but they are mass produced without any effort to breed to the SOP (standard of perfection) for the breed. If you want fluffy, quality silkies you are better off getting them from a breeder. Especially if you plan to breed yourself. This does not mean you will not get nice birds from a hatchery, but the chances are slim.

They aren’t bad they just tend to focus on quantity over quality, so they don’t really breed their birds toward the SOP (Standard of Perfection) of the breed like breeders do. Breeders are trying to improve the breed. In my opinion most hatcheries are just trying to make money, they don’t care about improving lines. But if you just want silkies as pets hatcheries are a good option. If you want show quality definitely get from a breeder.
