looking for that video of the chick people say to play by your incubator

I believe forced air my incubator is set at 37.6 but i feel like its low cause its day 22 and nothing yet

Forced air will have a fan running on the inside of the bator. If you have a forced air then your temp is right where you want it to be. If you don't have a fan then it is still air and then you would be a little low which could cause a delay in hatch.

It does have a fan but thinking its showing higher then it actually is since its day 22 and nothing so far

Ok. Once this hatch is done you may want to double check/calibrate your thermometer. I lost the majority of a hatch a little while back because I trusted that a thermometer that I had been using was right... for some reason I decided to check it and realized that that while it said 99.8 it was actually 102.8. By the time I caught it I was 5 days in. I did make corrections but will now always check my thermometers before every hatch. They all eventually start to go out of whack!

Well good luck. I hope you get some chickies soon!!!

I lost my first hatch attempt (minus one that hatched day 24 and lived) to a brand new unchecked thermometer. It ended up being 6 degrees off. I learned quick in the game to check them even when they are brand new.

My first hatch and I need help!!! Day 21... 6 Araucanas, 6 Cream Legbar, and 1 Houdan incubated; candled along the way and some development seen, though dark shells are difficult. Today, 1 chick hatched... thrilling... 6 were pulled as "yolkers", infertile. One has external pip over 9 hours ago NOW no progress. The little 5 hour chick is chirping, calling out to the others to open up! It looks so lonely and sad. What do I do???? Should the little loner remain as the chirper, encouraging the others? Does the external pip needs my assist or is it getting enough oxygen? None of the others are showing external pip nor any peeping.

I'll be waiting for YOUR HELP!!! Please.............

Leave the chick there, it will be fine as will the one that has internally pipped. Just be patient and everything will work out. I find that mine internally pip about 24 hours before they hatch, sometimes less and sometimes longer, but in that general range.

The loner will be loud until he gets a friend no matter where he is...lol Wether or not you take him out or leave him in is a personal decision, but keep in mind how much humidity you have before opening the bator at any time. As for the external pip. It can take up to 24 hours for them to go from pip to zip. I have found that mine average about 12-18 before they zip. If they haven't made progress by 18 hours then I will enlarge the pip to check on their positioning and membranes. If they are fine I put them back in and give them more time. If you try to help before the vascular system between the chick and egg shuts down, you can cause them to bleed out. And it takes hours for the vascular system to fully shut down. Plus sometimes chicks still have unabsorbed yolk and you don't want to hatch out a chick w/unabsorbed yolk because it is hard keeping them from rupturing it oncethey are free from the egg. If it appears he's in trouble or the membranes are drying up, then yes, I would help, but only if it's really neccessary.
