We have snow on the ground now and have had for two days. I'm not letting my chickens out of the run because I want to look around for a couple of days to see if I see tracks of anything nosing around. So far, so good... nothing.

the only tracks we have seen in our snow are that of a stray cat-we know its the neighbors cat but they wont admit it as it is everywhere=never touched a chicken-in fact Ive seen it eating out of the chicken treat bowls when I bring down warm food-she will sit infront og their barn door because it must give off more heat than is outside-Ive never seen her go inside though-the nasty predators tracks of foxes-raccoons-cyotes have dissppeared now that Winter is here-for now!

the only tracks I wanna see are the ones headed into the trap that stays set 365 days a yr

No snow yet, just sleet~~with a forecast of snow for the next 2 days

we do have traps and mostly catch that black cat! have gotten pleny of skunks and raccoons though! There are so many more predators here than the deer cam actually photo'd!

Joe, when I read your post, I laughed out loud. I thought of the Winnie the Pooh movie where they where following tracks and the tracks got more numerous. They were walking around in circles....

Not that you would do that, though, and I know you are serious. The only tracks we have are of the neighbor's cat, thankfully.

Good advice, thanks for sharing.
