Hello!!! I am here to learn and share my love of raising and caring for my chickens and turkeys. I raised my children and now enjoying grandchildren. I was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer in Nov. of 2014. They removed my stomach, spleen and a part of my pancreas. I went thru 6 months of aggressive chemo and Oct 2015 was confirmed cancer free!!! Now nothing will hold me back from what I love and I live a healthier life. I enjoy working in my garden and I nourish and love my chickens and in return they love and nourish me. I am so enjoying my new life looking for all healthy natural recipes and remedies to stay cancer free. I am open to all advice and will share as well. Looking very forward to hear from new friends

My uncle had stomach cancer many, many years ago, at a time they didn't have the treatments available like they do now. Despite that he lived till his late 90's. So wish you a long, happy, productive life.

Welcome to the Backyard chickens folk. A lot of folks on here have diet concerns and have even come up with healthful recipes. I believe you can find that in the hobby section of BYC. It's also why so many want to raise their own food and know what went into them that buying hormone laden foodstuffs from the grocery store.
