Good evening all, we just purchased a coop big enough for 6 standard size birds. I would really like to keep it to one or two breeds. In the past my mom had RIR bantams but her was forced to cull them because of borough laws. My MIL(rest in peace) had RIRs as well. A different environment and state. I'm olle and spry. We live in the country on 1.5 acre. Does anyone here have RIRs and or New Hampshires? Dominiques are pretty too. So far we have a fox around and a raccoon and help with these vermin?

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
You bought a coop? How large is it? Most pre-fab coops are far too small for the number of birds they claim to house and aren't very good protection against predators.
