So I'm looking to buy some new, better legbands for my flock that won't be so bulky (I bought a bag of the large plastic ones that lock, they fall off easily and just don't seem comfortable) and I seen Spiral leg bands were a common recommendation!
My problem is my chickens are all different breeds, so I was looking for potential help in what sizes I should buy ^^'
I have three chocolate gold-laced orpingtons, a golden Comet, three golden Comet/Chocolate gold-laced orpington mixes, a sapphire gem, a potential Sapphire/Chocolate Gold-laced Orpington mix three Alohas (one rooster, two hens) three Easter eggers, two Gold-laced Wyandottes and an Appenzeller Spitzhauben... I think that's all of them
I'm probably not going to worry about the rooster, but the hens will all need one, so I'm looking for size guesstimates! I know the Spitzhauben is going to need something smaller than the rest, but I don't know about the sapphire gem or the golden comet, the Alohas are a guess as well, because my hens are a lot smaller than their brother is
I know the Orpington needs a size 11, her chicks are going to need a size 11 when they grow up as well, but as for the mix breeds... I don't know what to expect. Does anyone have experience with banding these breeds?
