Would you guys suggest a way to put skids on to transport a henhouse/run, then remove it afterwards? I can't think of a good way to get them off

If you are trying to move the henhouse & run regularly, it might be easier to just leave the skids on all the time.

If you have a henhouse & run that you need to move to a new location just once, then when you are putting the skids on, think about how to take them off. If you have to jack up henhouse to get the skids underneath, you can do that again to get them out. If you fasten them with something, use fasteners that are removable. And so on.

You can slide anything on a couple pieces of PVC.. the longer the better/further the travel.. lay down pvc (I use 2 sticks of 2 inch 20 foot long) pick up coop, kick pvc under one corner, repeat for all 4 corners, be sure PVC pipes are straight/parallel and pointed the direction you want to move.. and push it.. it will slide very easy.. if you need to go further than 20 feet (less really depends on size of what you’re moving/sliding.. use more pieces like a “track” and keep pushing while someone else lines up pipes.. or if you only have 2 pieces just repeat the process until you move the distance you need..
