We are looking for a nice big RIR rooster. Our hens just started laying and we'd like to get some fertile eggs.

I have two r&r 8 month old roostrs pure breed.
 
I have 2 for you to choose from. I would like to trade for a barred rock roo or a EE roo. let me know what you have. thanks,

B&B where are you located?

and Don we have 20 EE chicks and several roos to chose from. They are about 4 weeks old and are looking like they are Americanas. The 4 rumpless ones (I guess making them Aracaunas)we have appear to be hens and no roos. We 'd gladly let you take your pick for a RIR roo. We have 8 hens that are laying and no roo to do the deed so that I can hatch my own chicks
 
Could i buy the rumpless chicks off of you ?
Why dont you just go over to the auction and buy a rhode island red Roo they are always there !

By the way i just remebered i can prob get you a roo . Does age matter , It wouldnt be a chick but i dunno if it would be full grown iether but it will be pure RIR from good stock
 
I think hubby wants to keep the rumpless right now but he does tend to change his mind alot. That's how we ended up with 21 rabbits instead of the 2 he said he'd be happy with:he

We went to the auction last week and the roos were going for ridiculous money. So hubby bought 2 more rabbits:ya He is banned from the auction for now lol.
 
age doesn't really matter as long as Mr can still get the job done. Our girls have only been laying for about 1 1/2 months now so we can be patient and wait for Mr to mature a bit
 
lol i missed the auction i woke upp with the flu . I missed a pair of sebs . Ya the roos will go for alot from ow until winter .

I can still get you a RIR roo

I think i know the breeder you got the Ameraucana/Araucana's from
She has araucanas with americana hens with them i have thier sisters if its the same breeder
