I bought 2 bronze turkeys just before Easter this year and some how managed to get a male and female from a straight run bin at the local feed store. In the past 3 months I'd fallen in love with my turkeys as this is the first time I'd ever had poultry other than chickens. We've had the most fun watching them grow and interact with our chickens. Unfortunately, a few days ago my hen died of heat exhaustion, I suspect. Now, Thomas Tillman (my tom) seems lonely. I guess what I'm getting at is, do any of you know of where I can get a turkey hen in the Northeast Texas area? Breed is not so much an issue but I would like a turkey roughly the same age as Thomas.
