Looking to get some peking ducks

How old is your Pekin? If you were to get a very young duckling you couldn’t put it right in with yours unless they were close in age. Then they still would need time to get to know each other.
Oh "Pickles" is about 3-4 months old. We planned on raising the little ones separately but letting them mingle a bit each day until they were old enough.

Is Pickles male or female? You should be able to tell by now, do they have a curly tail feather? Do they quack or make a raspy whisper sound?

Its important that you know Pickles' sex so that you can choose appropriate companions. If Pickles is a drake, I would reccomend getting a couple of drake friends. If Pickles is a hen, then perhaps some females. I'd reccomend getting sexed ducklings or looking for rescues in need of homes, so that you get what you want. Ducks need a good ratio of male to female, otherwise the hens can be overbred or hurt by the drakes. And likewise, too many drakes with not enough hens could result in fighting.
A good ratio is usually no more than 1 drake to 4-6 hens, for larger breeds like Pekins.
