We currently have 4 Silkies - 2 male and 2 female. One of the males is fairly dominant and is the clear boss of the group and the other is submissive. We took them in from a neighbor who was overwhelmed. All of them get along really well. We have a very large coop and ended up building a completely enclosed very large run that is completely predator proof. We are so fond of our group of 4 that we would like to expand, but we really want to rescue those who need to be rehomed. If anybody has hens of any age, regardless of egg laying status (we aren't interested in eggs) we could give them a great home. We live in Southeast Wisconsin near the Illinois/Wisconsin border.
