Lookis like intestines maybe??

Ok...now some of you know I had a post about classroom chicks...thats a long story, but the teacher called me and one of the babies hatched and is fluffy and doing good. now the problem they see is that on the underside in the back, it liikes like pink curly stuff near his/her butt. They said there is some egg shell still on it and that he is walking around and doing fine other than that....what could it be??

Could be his yolk sac has not fully absorbed, give him time and keep him away from the others if they start to pick at it....I had one last week like this but mine was weak and also his insides came out more so I had to cull him....

Ok....she said they left him in the incubator with the others that were still hatching..how ling can he/she stay in there?

2-3 days should be fine. Pink and curly sounds worry some though...as the yolk sac is usually yellowish.

IF it is intestines, is there any way to put them back in????
