looks like a crack in an uncracked egg????

So I got my hatching eggs a couple days ago in the mail, let them settle, etc.
I candled them last night and noticed that there were little marks that looked like scratches, but the egg shell itself does not appear to be cracked? do i need to patch up the spot? is it okay for incubation? i'm just not sure if it's just a blemish on the egg, or an actual problem

i just really want to be able to save it if there's an issue, very expensive eggs

I had some hairline cracks (only visible during candling) in some of my eggs i incubated. Some rather long. It didn't effect my hatchings and they hatched without problem. In fact, i had a few eggs that most people would advise against hatching, and they all were just fine. I left them mostly for experimenting, but I'm glad i did or that would've been a few less chicks i would've ended up with.

there is no harm in using a little bit of candle wax to seal the affected area. Just light a tealight, let a few drops cover it, it will dry and harden in seconds.
Do it while candling to see where and don't drop it.

It might be okay, or it might not be okay, there's no guarantee. Patch it up and give it a try, you don't lose anything by trying. In my latest batch I had an egg with hairline cracks that weren't visible unless I candled. The egg didn't make it. Died about halfway through incubation.

Nope. Left them how they was.

It's never too late to seal a crack. You might not have to but doing so won't be detrimental. I sealed my last crack that came to me cracked that looked like it had lost some moisture, the crack seemed moist. I sealed it and it hatched well.
It might have hatched just fine if I hadn't sealed it but I'm still glad I did.
