Looks like frostbite, down to -15 tonight. Should I move them into garage with heat?

Wow, MN is darn cold! I'm in Northern Virginia, my hens are fine but it did get cold enough for three eggs to freeze open!

chickypunky--I did not think to ask--But all of your chickens are over 4 months old? and they are all a cold hardy breeds? if so, the same advice holds. Otherwise, Houston we have a problem-- juvies will need heat, and so will some types of breeds. I bought hens that were cold and heat hardy, I still had to run a fan in the 106* summer we had-and provide water with ice cubes, hens can deal with cold temperatures much easier than hot. Same with winterizing--No drafts across the roosts, a good coat of Vaseline, with deep, well-turned litter. I about made my DH crazy checking for drafts in the coop. This same coop has 2 wire walls in summer, so I was concerned that we get it warm/draft-free enough for cold temperatures. That would be new--eggs that bounce in the skillet!
