PLEASE tell me that everyone's horses are shedding like crazy right now? Max is the only horse in the pasture that is getting sleeker. There's just hair EVERYWHERE. He's the only palomino so maybe that's the reason I see only his hair?
I've been using human hair-brushes to scratch deep down (which he LOVES) and then finish off with a dog brush that's a de-shedder. It pulls the hair out that's not attached and helps air get down to the skin.
Should I stop with the heavy duty brushing? Am I causing some serious harm? I mean, it's 73* outside right now, but I want to know if I am damaging his skin in any way. He seems to absolutely love it, to the point that he lets everything "hang out."
