Looks like my first winter coop and hens are doing fine

    This is my first winter with 5 chickens here in west Michigan. Temps haven't got above freezing in a few weeks. But it looks like my girls are doing well. I get 3 eggs per day which is more than enough.

    They love when I bring them treats of bread, crackers, smashed egg shells, lettuce, yogurt, etc.

    Notice in the bottom pictures the chicken drinking out of my "horizontal nipple heated waterer" and the 5 gallon feed bucket. Instructions on how to make these inexpensive and priceless items can be found in the links in my signature line below this post!
