Well, last night Teresa came in and said she could only account for four of the ten-week old guinea keats. These were roosting on a wooden 2x2 I stretched out in one corner of the run. They don't like to go into the coop at night and seem to prefer sleeping on the outside roosting bar. We looked and looked for the missing one to no avail. I assumed she must have worked her way through the 2x4 wire but I'd thought she'd be close by but we couldn't find her. But this morning when I got up I was making coffee just as it was getting enough light outside to see shapes and I heard a strange sound outside. I went out and investigated and sure enough there was Miss InKeat up in the pine trees about twenty feet up screaching her head off wanting her mates to come rescue her. We had to go to work so we just had to leave her because there was no way we could get her down and safely back to the run. Hopefully she'll go back on her on today. She's going to get very hungry and thirsty if she stays out there...
