Loose piece on underside of chick's beak? And a bonus curled toes question!

If she is walking normally most of the time I would not hobble her. But if she is having the problem while on non-slip flooring, then yes, it might help. Changing the tape and hobble daily is recommended since they grow so quickly. But that can be a challenge for most of us, if it seems to be in the right place.

Understood. She really doesn't want to walk at all unless I make her, and is reluctant to use her leg muscles to stand. Should I try to give her some physical therapy in a cup? We played around with the idea yesterday, and she definitely uses her legs to stretch and try to get out. Any other ideas to encourage her to walk? We've resorted to kicking her out from under the plate when her brooder mates are out, but that's obviously very time consuming and not sustainable.
