Loose stools, lethargic, weight loss and spot on eye.

Our bearded silky is not doing well , she has always seemed weaker than her sisters but took a turn for the worse this week. She has very loose stools, seems underweight and lethargic. The eye seems to be a new symptom.

We also lost a hen a couple weeks back. No signs beside weight loss and upper respiratory infection. She had the uri repeatedly and she was under the of a vet. She also had eye surgery for what we thought was a blockage in the sinuses. The vet only found inflammation and no blockage.

I included a picture of her eye.

Sometimes euthanasia is the kindest thing we can do for a pet.

Did you get a necropsy done on the hen you lost? Can you tell if she can see out of that eye?

Chickens are VERY good at hiding things since they are prey animals and don't to become a a dinner target... respiratory stuff can be quite uncomfortable when every breath hurts... Have you ever experienced that?

Did you vet run a fecal to check for parasites? What are you feeding including treats and supplements? How old is your gal and when was the last she laid an egg or went broody? What color are her loose stools? Is she still eating and drinking? How has your recent weather been, that she's exposed to? Was it the hen who passed or this one that had sinus surgery?

Is she's able to see or not seems like blindness maybe marek or maybe genetics

If you lost one with the similar signs maybe it's Marek's cause it's contagious and there's no specific treatment avail as yet

Mild forms can survive
But as u mentioned loose stools , underweight + lethageric I would suspect mareks grey pupil is mareks I'm really hurt

Care for her is the only recommendation till her last breath
