Loosing feathers

Ok I have 5 chickens and I recently notice that one of them is loosing a lot of feathers; it's not like I can see her skin. However she is loosing more than normal feathers. That particular chicken It's going to be a year that I got her she was pretty young when I got her. I check her feather for any type of bugs and I don't see anything. The weather it's also changing here in CA; It's normal?

From the sounds of it, she may be molting. It's common at that age.

Glad you could join the flock! X2 yes sounds like it could be molt if you have checked for parasite and you are having a change in weather. My guess would be that she's molting. It's very common in hens around her age, and it usually happens in the fall or the winter.
