losing feathers

My 12 week old pullets are losing feathers. Not complete molting, but enough to worry me. Is this normal in summer? This is my first attempt, so I have no comparison.

I don't know if it's normal but someone told me pullets will loose and then grow new feathers several times before they get their adult feathers. My pullets have been doing this all summer too.

They are quite healthy acting. I guess I shouldn't worry unless they become bald in spots. Thanks.

There was a post a while ago and some of us were wondering the same thing. Apparently they tend to go through this periodically while young. I have lots of feathers laying about and the birds look great despite that. In other words, probably no worries at all.
