losing feathers

Could someone please tell me when chickens have there first moult. Mine were 13 weeks yesterday and there seems to be a lot of feathers on the ground. Thanks

I don't believe they should be molting quite yet...?!?

Are they roosting up high? I noticed when my (now 13 week olds) started to go up on the roosts, the jostling that happened to get the best spot caused a lot of lost feathers. Just a thought.

They do roost high. there seems to be alot in the run also. I dont know maybe its normal these are my first chickens. Havent figured everything out yet. thank you

Our girls seemed to loose quite a few feathers untill there 18th or 19th week what is on the ground(run) and coop doesn't seem to be increasing

They are losing their teenage feathers, most likely. I had a ton in the coop at that time, too.
