Loss of color in face?

Curious if anyone has ideas what may have caused this. This hen is a buff brahma, about 20 months old. She has some reproductive issues and is on the Deslorin implant/no longer laying. Her ear lobes are sort of splotchy with color, almost looking like petechiae in some parts. I do regular mite and lice checks + coop is clean with some mite preventatives.

Lowered hormone levels will result in diminished comb/face coloration.

I’ve read this as well, assumed as much but they seem a bit more splotchy than normal.
