Loss of feathers after an attack

I'm new to chickenville. I have a hen who adopted us after being abandoned. A couple of days ago a cat got a hold of her and pulled out all of her tail feathers and a lot of down feathers.

Will those feathers ever grow back and when do chickens typically molt? Thanks for the help. Thanks for the help.

Yes! They will definitely grow back (one of mine had all her tail feathers ripped out by a dog)! I don't know about molting...my girls are over a year old and I haven't experienced a molt.

WHEW! Thanks for the help. I love this little orphan and hate to see her hurt. I'll be looking forward to seeing her beautiful tail feathers again.
