loss of feathers on bottom

I had one chicken that lost her feathers on her bottom. I saw someone before describe it as baboon butt and that is exactly what it looks like. Now 3 weeks later two more are losing theirs. I thought maybe it was mites but I don't see any. Can they be molting- they are almost exactly 1 year old. Possibly stress from the cold?- we live in Florida and it has been very cold here. I noticed the first one losing hers after we had temps in the teens. Anyway- my big concern now is that one of them has some spots of blood on her bottom and I am not sure if it is from pecking or from just the loss of the feathers but I don't want to it to get worse. Can I put something on her so that they don't peck at her. I am a little concerned because it is around her vent area.

Read my post,maybe it will help.Sometimes you do not get much response on the feather loss.I got the pine tar and blucote at tractor supply.I went this route because I do not know what else to do.Good luck ,let me know how it is going.Don

Thanks- I will go to tractor supply tomorrow. It's weird- the one chicken has had her feathers gone on her bottom for weeks and no blood spots - this other one has been losing her feathers gradually for a couple of weeks and seems to have lost a lot in the last couple of days but she is the only one that has the blood spots....
