loss of other hens

I had 3 hens, 10 months old. Last week 1 was eaten by a hawk and the other 2 saw...the next morning 1 of the remaining girls was comatose and eventually died later in the day. I was concerned with the 1 remaining and brought her to a friends house where there are 5 hens of varying ages. She has so far remained hidden in the corner nesting box and very quiet and still. She eats and drinks when brought to food but does not venture out . She has been there since Mon. night. Any thoughts?

She needs time. The new hens I am sure are after her and she may have injuries also. I would keep her separate for a few days. They say not to mix flocks that fast, you need to quarantine first. Anyway she has been throught a lot
