The other day we had a drenching rainstorm. When I went out later to feed and check on the flock, I found that three of my four little bitty Buff Orpingtons had died, apparently drowned. They had shelter, but I guess it wasn't enough. I am heartsick.
I guess from now on, little bittys must be kept inside until they are bigger, and less fragile. I've had a real bad time with this batch of chicks. From 8 I am down to 4, in just a week or so's time.
