First time incubating I have a NR 360 started with 22 eggs everything has been going perfect, these are my own flocks eggs they are a year old. Today is day 10 I candled and 2 were infertile and the other 7 were ealrly quiters. Am I doing something wrong??? Is this normal? It's stressing me out lol

I believe I’ve heard early quitters sometimes have something to do with the hen’s diet? Also how did you store the eggs prior to setting them? (I’ve only hatched twice so hopefully someone with more experience than me will give you better answers)

I will look into the diet thing they do free range everyday . And half of them sat for 3 days but the other amount was the day of , so maybe that couldve been it ???

I am hesitant to refer to any egg as early quitters. I would keep incubating them for another 5-7 days, monitoring for smell, to make sure. Sometimes development slows and candling is far from an exact science. However, I am not extremely experienced on the topic, but that is what I would do.
