****...he's a mean lookin' one. Sittin' in a cage and still giving you the stink-eye.

He wasn't too happy with me. I didn't think a night in jail would curb his thirst for my birds so I relocated him this afternoon.

As you can see his right eye is damaged. It looks like the iris coloring was scraped away from the inside and you could see all the way to the back of his eye.

He may have a damaged eye, but still is an amazing looking bird.

Where did you let him go? I don't mean to be *that person* but the reason I ask is because it is very illegal to capture owls (assuming you live in the us, I don't know the laws regarding other countries) for any reason. Unfortunately it protects them even if they do attack your livestock :/ I would call a game warden or a wildlife rehabilitator, if you come across that situation again. That's an extremely beautiful owl, I'm really curious how his eye got like that.
