Lost a hen

This morning when I went to the coop she was doing fine, sitting in the nesting box. My fiancé went to close up the coop for the night and she was in the same nesting box and had died. We are unsure as to why this happened, it was completely sudden. It was quite cold and very windy out today.

It saddens me that one of our girls are gone..

About 2 years old. And she was one of our layers. We only had one egg this morning.

Had she showed any signs of illness prior to her death? If we knew more we could help you find out what happened to her, and why she died so suddenly. So sorry for your loss
