We were given a Wheaten Ameracauna hen that is about a year old this afternoon. My dd was holding her while i was putting new bedding in the coop. Our dog came to sniff the chicken freaked my daughter let it go. Up and over the fence she went. We did not see which way she ran down the street. We live in a neighborhood but its surrounded by tall trees, bushes and fenced yards. I dont know what to do. Its now pitch black outside . Should i go look for her. she doesnt know where her home is and the person who had her before did not socialize with her so humans are scary. I am angry and not sure what to do. Do i look or assume she is lost forever.
