Good afternoon,

I regret to inform you all that one of my rabbit's is gone. I went out today to take a look and check on them, and the hutch was wide open. How it got open, I don't know. Me and my father double-checked the latch. The rabbit got out and is gone.

If my dog's got it, there would have been a corpse. There is no corpse.

I can only conclude that the rabbit either got out of the yard, or a predatory Bird took it, which we have a lot of around here.

Well, that's life for you. It's easier to introduce one rabbit to one rabbit anyway then one to two.

I am a little sad, but I'll get over it.

Jared

Clip one of these to the latch on your hutch, neither the rabbit nor the dogs will be able to open it.

What type of rabbit is it? Aside from lops who have hearing problems, I would strongly recommend training them to associate a certain 'noise' to treats - like a rattle or squeak toy. The whole point of noise-treat training is as a failsafe for this sort of situation as they are more likely to 'hear' the call than you seeing them.
