Sorry to see this post. By the pics the only thing I can see is that the top panels are not tied down at close enough intervals. Who would have thought of that tho? You are right to replace the chicken wire. Electrification in future?

Thanks everyone for your kind words. We're going to cover that panel with hardware cloth, weld it down, and replace the chicken wire with yet more hardware cloth. Also I think I will replace a small section of tin on the door with wire so that I can shut the door at night and they will still have ventiliation.

Thanks to my BYC friends i'm going to rebuild the flock. It touched me that you were so willing to help and understood how horrible this episode was.

I had a pair of Coons kill about 15 birds this past spring. Boy I was glad to catch them with my friend SPRINFIELD back in June. Won't bring back my birds, but there is some sense of revenge. I am sure you feel a bit of comfort knowing you got him.
