Unfortunately, Nature is like that -- creatures kill other creatures. For us, it was heartbreaking, losing funny little Sassy Pants (and Boo, and Janie, and Daisy, etc), but it is a fact of life.

Of course, that doesn't stop me from being REALLY GLAD that your DH killed the bobcat.

Losing just one would be hard enough, but to lose all your favorites is just plain cruel. I am so sorry for your losses. I, also, hope that you have some eggs from your girls that are hatchworthy.

Wow.. how horrible... I don't have orpington eggs but I can send you some pity eggs... The cure for the blues is hatching... You poor thing.. my heart breaks for you!!! Post an ad for pity eggs... This is just aweful.. I dont know what I would do...

I can send you some lav and split lav eggs when you are incubating. I only have one lav hen and three blacks, unknown split and two lav roos... if you want some eggs I'll share... SO sorry for your loss.
