Last night, just like every night, we were supposed to shut the chickens into their coop. Even though we got there about an hour after dark, the main flock were fine. However, we have one chick named Bo who has been our favorite. Bo only has one functioning leg because she was attacked by a raccoon and unfortunately was one of the unlucky chicks that got swiped by it. That was about a month ago. Now, she's all healed up and has learned to adapt to her disability and hop on one leg. We love her so much because she's friendly and always lets us pet her. Now she's been lost since last night, and now it's 6 am and I've looked in every crack and crevice for her! Do you think she'll come out by noon? Or will I have to go looking for her again? URGENT

Welcome to BYC. Look around your coop and run to make sure that she isn't stuck behind or under something. Many times I have found one inside the coop. Unfortunately she may have been taken by a predator, but look first thing all around to see if she comes for food.
Good luck.

I don't think she comes to us for anything specific but whenever we come outside to check on them, Bo usually runs towards us. I've looked evvvverywhere for her. The reason why this is a mystery is because if a predator took her, which in our area is only 1 raccoon, I would have seen remains, somewhere, but there is nothing to be found!!! No smell, no nothing

No sightings of Bo?

So sorry! My heart always sinks when I read sad endings like this.
