I have a 10 month old flock I need to donate due to ordinance notice. 10 Rhode island Reds (9 hens 1 rooster) well behaved, clean and healthy good layers in flock with 4 nests available in coop. Will also donate the coop if you are willing to pickup. All I would like is a donation receipt or letter from your organization. Even though I had an ally on the council my presentation and appeal was denied... "We've had this ordinance for over 100 years" was their grounds to reject my appeal. So I need to move the flock - with me and my family not far behind.

Sorry about your troubles - it would help if you would include your location so that those wishing to respond will know whether you are close to them or not.

Would you be willing to sell them to me? We are homeschoolers who live in an unincorporated area and are SUPER eager to collect eggs but we just have 6 week old orpingtons so we have a long way to go. Also, we bought ours from tractor supply straight run so come to find out we have 8 roosters and only 2 hens :( I live in NW Indiana about 5 minutes from Lansing, IL so the border pretty much.

If you can get me a donation letter or receipt I will donate them to your home school. When could you pick them up?
