Hi just wondering if anyone has experienced this I candles my duck eggs on day 22 and found all to be alive and moving and candles once more before lock down on day 25 and found half to be dead? The other half have hatched out fine with only a couple needing slight assistance. Is this normal to lose them at this time period in incubation? I kept the temp at 99-100 and humidity at 60 until lockdown. And help would be appreciated for my next time incubating

Thank you

My thought is that your humidity was too high. 60% is too high for the first 25 days. I need to use 30%, for example, or they drown. Others find using between 45 to 50 percent works best. At 60% they probably didn't lose enough moisture and drowned as they tried to internally pip and start breathing.
