Well its almost 1 am... electricities been out for about 5 hours now... i got 25-30 that hatched and were under the heat lamp, now they are piled together crawling all over each other cold.... i had more hatching piping the shell, they all stopped now... guess those are dead.... i had about 100 more that were all starting to hatch and boom! Lost em all i guess... ill leave the incubator plugged in to see if any happen to make it somehow.... but im doubtful now... ****** the luck...

do you have water/ a fire/ hot water in a cylinder? if you have a hot water bottle then you could fill it up. put them in a box and with a fluffy towel in the bottom. keep the box covered so that it stays warm but not so much that they cannot breathe . Sorry to hear about your losses. we had that during the earth quakes and we lost many chicks from our 3 incubators, we ended up buying a generator to kick in and it was great for random power cuts. chances are that they are dead if its been 5 hours so sorry about your losses.

Well ive still had a handfull hatch... not a great hatch though... got around 40 so far out of 120... gonna have to incubate more again!!! Dang lol

I need all these to finish hatching so I can clean up the incubator and start filling it again for another hatch... I wanted to get 50 or so to butcher for myself!! We love kabobs!! Bacon wrap the breast meat with a jalepeno and cream cheese, then grill it... OMG!!!! We eat that for dinner as much as we can LOL!

Get some ( large ) Thermo Care heat wraps for the back at Target or Walmart. They won't get you to 90 degrees but they will provide a good amount of heat if you put the chicks in a more confined space to use their own body heat as well. DH used them to stay toasty warm while hunting in Sasketchewan in November.
