Lost feathers; Roo is gone

This hen was his favorite. Roo is gone about 2weeks. Some are saying depluming mites. How do I know? If so, what and how do I treat. Do all need to be treated? Coop, etc and what product is used? First pic is one in question the others are for how other hens look.
Thank you

Poor girl! I bet she's glad he's gone! She should recover but regrowing feathers may take some time. Maybe put a saddle on her to keep that area from getting cold/pecked by other hens as the feathers come in.

My Polish hen looks similar because of my Rooster, I am growing him 5 more pullets so she gets a break. I'm glad I saw this post because I was wondering when her feathers would come back 😉

Good luck, I will try hatching eggs soon. He's a green egger so I'm curious what eggs his offspring would have.
I started with 3 buff, 1 RIR, 2 barred rock. Now I have 1 americana, hatched from a broody 2yrs ago and a donated chick which was a leghorn/barred rock. Now 2 orphs one who just hatched an americana/barred/leghorn mix, a month ago
Flock of mutts!! Too funny
