I discovered, quite by accident, that feeding the little predator keeps him from killing my chickens. I can spare a little cat food. I had no idea it would be that simple.

I'm glad to hear that has helped. I do feel for you, what a shame that said it's not the cats fault they have been left to fend for themselves. I would also make sure you have secured this coop if a cat can enter other predators will too so even if you stop the cats, it won't be over.
