Just went out to do my nightly close up and found my Tom dead in my run. I have a haniging roost in a run made of basically cattle panels walls and roof. Approximately 16’x16’ area.
I think instead of sleeping on the roost he slept on a rock near the edge and a coon got him. It looked like his head and back were the spots damaged.
Suggestions to keep the Turk hens from becoming casualties. I could probably put them in with my chickens so they’d be in a fortified coop.
