Lost my BLRW hen last night :(

Well I thought last night was a good night, what with having 16 baby turkeys hatch and all. Then this morning I woke up to destruction.

I am pretty sure it was a raccoon. As it pulled her right out through the side of the tractor. We lost 2 ducks earlier in the week, but we thought they just slipped out and ran away, there was no feathers no nothing to give us any indication of terror, poor duckies, so we moved them to a coop off the ground so they couldn't get out. Well little did I know we had a visitor, my roo made it through but it took my beautiful little hen and left me a mess. How do I get rid of it? Do I have to stay up and trap it at night? Or is there any easier way? All of my babies are being moved to safer ground as we speak.

yea I learned the hard way too
Lost a red star six weeks old to a cat
Had a racoon pick up the smell of chickens and came into my yard
I was ahead of the game with my chickens in the coop and hardware cloth on every window and opening so no luck there for rocky racoon
But It did find my minilop pet rabbit who roams freely in my yard.
Lucky I heard the racoon screeching as it was attacking the rabbit and ran out hit the lights and pop pop see ya later.
