Lost my favorite BO hen yesterday night ... :(

I went out to feed yesterday morning and I found a dead chicken torn apart ... I though it was just a BO hen but then I started looking for my FAVORITE Buff Orpington hen "Sunshine" and I couldn't find her .....

If I see that cat again I'm gonna ... STRANGLE HIM!!!!!!!!!!! Why do they ALWAYS get your favorite chickens????

I'm sorry for your loss. I recently lost my Buff Orpington. Something happened to her in broad daylight, I'll never know what. Just the cost of free ranging, I guess. BTW, how do you know a cat got her? BOrps are pretty big for a cat, unless it's a bobcat?

I'm pretty sure it was our cat because I found a pile of feathers on the porch, and a bobcat wouldn't come up into the front yard. We set a trap last night, but it just ate the stuff and got out some how ...?

I'm so sorry! My dog killed 9 of our favorite silkies 2 weeks ago. It just stinks. So sad you had to lose your favorite!

So sorry to hear about it. I lost my favorite pair and an additional hen the other night.

We set a trap but so far we haven't caught anything.

What ever is getting the chickens keeps eating the food from the trap, but some how doesn't seem to get caught!!! The trap goes off & everything but we just can't seem to catch it.
