Hey everyone! So I have a 5 chickens and 2 geese right now, I keep them separate but they do free range together. Now one of my geese stole my chickens nest! so the chicken made a new nest, the problem is she made the nest outside of the coop and I have no idea where :( I've been looking for it for a few weeks every time she comes out of the coop I try to follow her but lose her (She sleeps in the coop just has the nest outside) but for the last two nights she stayed on her nest and did not go into the coop! I think she is broody :( But it is not safe for her to be outside of the coop. I'm going to follow her very carefully today when I find her nest what should I do? take the eggs? take her and lock her up in the coop against her will? both? Thanks!

If you would like her to hatch the eggs you could try moving her full nest into the coop but often times. broodies don't like their nest to be disturbed and they might not accept it.
If you don't want any babies, follow her to the nest and take the eggs and destroy the nest. She should probably be locked in the coop until she's not broody any longer.

I'd find the nest and take the eggs. Either break her if you don't want her to hatch or make her a new nest where you can lock her up. You can put her eggs back under her.
