lost one of my girls last night

We found one of our ducks dead this morning outside her pen. We only had two duckand they were extremely close. I'm afraid that since one passed the other one will get lonely or stressed and also pass away. So I guess my question is should I get another duck to comfort my lonely duck?

Ohhh, my sympathies on your duck that passed away....

Yes, get another duck, they are, after all, "flock animals". Just make sure the duck you own now wouldn't attack the other new duck. From my experience raising chickens, unless chicks hatch or you give chicks to a broody hen, they won't except the new pullet or older hen into the flock.....
