Chirping
Bad storms here in NE Georgia early this morning and we lost power. That was 3:00 am this morning. Chicks are 2 weeks old today. I had some body size hardwarmers so I opened them and put under a little bedding in the brooder. They are located in the basement where there is a roll up door facing the sun so once it warmed up after daylight I opened the door and made it to where the sun is shining in one corner by covering the rest with moving blankets. They seem to all be happy right now spaced out right around the perimeter of the sunshine. Hopefully they will get power restored soon or chicks will not be my only worry. It’s been 11 hours and I have freezers full of veggies and meat.
