Lost three out of four of my babies this afternoon.

Hubby left them unsupervised outside

and I finally found one behind the wood pile but the other three are gone. All four of my big girls are fine and happy but three of the four babies are nowhere to be found!!!!!!

Don't lose all hope yet--some stragglers may yet come in.

We had a problem with missing chicks and discovered that they were sneaking through small gaps in the chicken wire and hiding under the chicken coop. Our cocker spaniel had mysteriously taken to laying under the coop, and I caught her crunching on something--grrrrrr... Her liberty privileges were suspended.

So long as nothing found them, today's the best day to recover them.

I have to work all day and hubby will not be home until the afternoon. If they are still out there I hope we can still find them by the time someone gets home!!!!!

So sorry to hear that! It seems most families have one person who is really cautious and looks out for the chicks,and other members like them but just aren't as attentive.I'm sure it wasn't intentional neglect.I hope you find your lost babies
