Thank you, everyone. I'm sorry for the late reply, I've been very busy here at home.

We took chicken wire and wired it around the entire outside of an XL wire dog crate. Then we put a lock on the door of the crate. I think it's child-proof, anyway. They have two different plastic box "nests" inside, one directly under the heat lamp and one away from the direct heat. It was cold last night so the chicks and ducks all slept in the heated box, curled up in a big bundle. So cute! I just wish I still had the other two, as well.

Again, thank you for the kind words. It was a rough couple of days, there. Nobody is happy with my daughter, and she's not happy because the other kids are watching her like a hawk now, hah.

I would like to get more ducklings this month, but I think my first responsibility is to the two remaining ducklings. I'll get them to adulthood and take care of them, and maybe next spring we can bring more little quackers into our home.
