Lots O' Buckeye babies!

My latest hatch. Out of 15 mailed eggs, 12 developed, 1 quitter, 11 beautiful babies! For those of you (like me) who count heads, two are buried under the pile and the last is still in the 'bator. I think I see one beak poking out in between the two on the top. Not a bad hatch - Thanks Bill!

Good for you. I think they are some of the most beautiful chickens around. I may have to get me a few more.

Who did you get yours from?

I got them from Muddstopper here on BYC. He was very helpful and when my first batch didn't develop, probably due to post office mishandling, he sent me another batch. These, as you can see, are beautiful. These are my first Buckeyes.

You're going to love them. They are beautiful birds. Mine got a little fiesty when adolescent, but settled in nicely as adults. I may have to consider a few more come spring......

Here's the whole line-up, although they just won't cooperate and all show themselves. The one all the way to the right is already doing the stink eye and looks to be all attitude!

The sad thing is - my 'bator is empty. Must buy more eggs!!!!
