Hi! I have 6 BRs that are 11 weeks old - 2 boys, 4 girls. I put them outside at about 7 weeks and they are doing just fine.

My question is - they are fully feathered and all, but I see a lot of spare feathers on the ground and on the coop floor. I'm assuming this is normal as they grow, but it kinda weirded me out a little. No signs of fighting, pecking, ripping each other's feathers out, lol. And by "a lot" I would say 20-25 at any given time, ranging from 1-4" in length.

Just curious. Thanks!

My back yard looks like I slaughtered a duck - I've collected alot, washed them with dish-soap and dyed with food coloring - sewn onto halloween tutu.
